Category Living Information
Name Level 10

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) announced a nationwide recall of 12 types of organic cheese on October 14. This measure was taken after the possibility of Listeria contamination was confirmed.

• Target Brands: 3 brands including Farm Boy, L'Ancêtre, and Life Smart
• Eligible Products: Organic Swiss, Cheddar, and Mozzarella cheeses, including both block and shredded products.
• How to check: Compare the UPC, best-before date, and product code on the packaging with the CFIA notice. Most Farm Boy products expire on July 30, 2027, while many other products have dates between December 2026 and March 2027.
• Action: Do not consume the product; dispose of it or return it to the place of purchase. It has been announced that there have been no reports of related illnesses to date.

Caution is required as food contaminated with Listeria may not appear spoiled on the outside. If you are concerned about your health after consuming the product, please consult a medical professional. Please check the CFIA guidelines below for a detailed list of affected items.
