The deposit date for the October Canada Child Benefit (CCB) is approaching. Families with children are advised to check the deposit date and amount in advance.
- Deposit Date: October 20 (Tue) — This is the fourth payment of the 2026–27 allowance year (starting in July).
- Maximum amount: It is $679.75 per month ($8,157 per year) for children under 6 years old, and $573.58 per month ($6,883 per year) for children aged 6 to 17.
- Ontario Child Allowance may be included: Households residing in Ontario may receive Ontario Child Benefit (up to $146.66 per child per month) in the same deposit.
- Criteria for receiving the full amount: If your adjusted family net income is less than $38,237, you receive the maximum amount, and if it is more than that, it decreases in stages according to your income.
- caution: To continue receiving benefits, both spouses (or common-law partners) must file tax returns annually. If you do not see the deposit, please wait 5 business days from the payday and check CRA My Account.
