The Province of Ontario began accepting applications for the 2027-28 Seniors Community Grant Program on October 27. The application deadline is December 17, 2026. Selected organizations can receive up to $25,000 in support for local senior activities. The state government is investing a total of $7 million in this project, of which an additional $1 million has been allocated to the senior veteran support program. Eligible recipients include local community organizations, local governments, and indigenous groups. Please note that this is a project grant for initiatives undertaken by these organizations, not a direct subsidy to individuals. Not all applicants are selected. Examples of available activities include cooking classes, fraud prevention education, digital literacy training, and intergenerational exchange nights, which are programs designed to support the social participation, volunteering, and community connection of the elderly. • The application guide webinar will be held on November 10 and December 2.
